Through their Social Justice Makerspace, DIVAS (Digital Interactive Visual Arts Sciences) for Social Justice has created a multi-generational space for ALL to develop their dreams using technology to promote change in the community. The Makerspace provides collaborative spaces, computer labs, sewing machines, VR/AR gear, 3D printers, videography/photography equipment, and more.
DIVAs for Social Justice empowers and inspires youth living in underserved communities in NYC to use tech and visual arts to promote social justice and become change makers in their communities. They aim to instill community pride and promote community engagement through providing youth with the knowledge, skills, and connections that enable them to engage with social justice issues in their communities.
