Nonprofit organizations are the backbone of thriving communities, working relentlessly to innovate, provide vital resources and programs, and promote health for all residents. These organizations rely on their local communities to continue their work, yet there is a critical need for increased support for these tireless grassroots organizations.
BKO is reimagining community-based philanthropy to be more inclusive and engaging for everyone in Brooklyn who supports social change. A new campaign from BKO, entitled "Show Brooklyn Some Love," was created to inspire and engage a new wave of Brooklyn residents and a new generation of Brooklyn givers to champion local organizations working towards a more just and equitable borough. The campaign was brought to life with creative by Mother Design.
F.Y. Eye helped distribute and elevate the "Show Brooklyn Some Love" campaign through a comprehensive media plan throughout the borough. Residents encountered the campaign that blanketed Brooklyn, with a mix of traditional subway and bus ads, billboards, wheatpasting installations, and a bold takeover of the Bedford Avenue (L Train) subway station in June 2024.
The "Show Brooklyn Some Love" campaign garnered over 8 million estimated impressions across all placements. The large presence of the campaign throughout the borough is poised to shift perceptions about local philanthropy, fostering a sense of community ownership in creating positive social change and increased support for local community grassroots nonprofits.
