Do you need food, shelter or healthcare? Millions of New Yorkers aren't accessing reliable information today about how to meet basic needs. Documented works with immigrant communities to create critical and trusted resources in English, Spanish, Chinese and Haitian Creole on the platforms that communities use, as we highlight in this PSA - created thanks to incredible pro bono support from Zulu Alpha Kilo (Z.A.K.).
Documented is an independent, non-profit newsroom dedicated to reporting with and for immigrant communities in New York City. We provide original, investigative reporting and actionable resource guides in English, Spanish, Chinese and Haitian Creole and on the platforms immigrants use such as WhatsApp, WeChat and Nextdoor. Documented represents a radically different community-driven approach to journalism and information that impacts the everyday experiences of immigrants and is critical for everyone who cares about the strength and wellbeing of New York City; for more information about our "news that speaks your language," go to https://documentedny.com/about-us/.
