This PSA is a call to parents and caregivers of children with brain-based disorders and traumatic brain injuries: iBRAIN offers a personalized, research-driven approach to special education. Public schools often lack the resources these children need, leaving families searching for better options. At the International Institute for the Brain, we bridge that gap with a curriculum tailored to each child’s developmental, intellectual, and physical goals, preparing them for the future.
iBrain’s story began tragically when Sarah Jane was shaken by her baby nurse, resulting in severe injuries, including a traumatic brain injury. Determined to help his daughter, Patrick Donohue founded The Sarah JaneBrain Foundation and launched The PABI Plan and helped establish the NationalPABI Plan Act to improve brain injury care. This mission further developed into legal advocacy through the Brain Injury Rights Group and iBRAIN, which offers special education, research, and support for students with severe brain injuries. Our goal is to transform care and create better futures for individuals with brain injuries.
