The Queensboro Dance Festival's dozens of events shine this summer, with a vibrant tour of dozens of free and accessible dance performances, parties, and classes. Featuring the talents of over 25 diverse Queens-based dance companies, the festival will take place outdoors in parks, plazas, and streets across the borough.
Founded in 2014, Queensboro Dance Festival's mission is to strengthen the dance community in Queens and inspire a greater appreciation for Queens dance. They serve as a platform for underrepresented dance cultures and serve Queens neighborhoods that do not have easy access to free public arts programming. Queensboro Dance Festival also supports Queens dance artists with career resources, including professional development workshops, free rehearsal space, and performance footage.
