Seniors in Coney Island can sometimes feel unsafe venturing onto public transit and run the risk of becoming isolated in their homes. The You're More Than a Passenger, You're Family PSA brings awareness to their free service for older adults that transports them to support systems like physician visits, physical therapy and other outings throughout the Brooklyn area.
The Jewish Community Council of Greater Coney Island (JCCGCI) is a community-based organization with a citywide scope, providing a wide-spectrum of senior citizen, vocational, educational, crime-reduction, community revitalization and related services benefiting all segments of the population. With 40 program sites throughout New York City, JCCGCI assists an average of upwards of 2,500 needy individuals and families each day.
